User Experience: Audience

The intended audience for my flash application is young children because they are people who are learning simple things and will be interested in answering questions to collect things.

It is important that the game is interesting and fun otherwise they will lose interest and that is why I have chosen to create it so they have to collect items and unlock levels as this gives them something to play for. It will also be fun as they can explore the island and go back to different parts of the island.

Children like playing games because they think they are fun and they like to think that they are in control. I also found out that games release tension and relieve boredom. (http://www.mediafamily.org/facts/facts_effect.shtml).

I wanted to create an educational game that was fun because from research I have found out that games can be like teachers as children find them highly motivating because of their interactive nature, they provide repeated practice and they reward users for skillful game play.
